The two greatest college basketball coaches are John Wooden and Pat Summitt and today, Wooden's light was extinguished. He was more than just a winner on the court, he was a winner in life and his players have run the gamut from Hall Of Famers like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to actor Mike Warren. He laid out a set of principles for the game and life it's what he taught players and those who had him come in and give a motivational lecture.
He was the finest example of a man and a head coach and he will be missed by all who knew him. John was a special man and he made time for everyone that stopped by to talk to him at the games and because of that, his family had to ask people to leave him alone because they knew that he would never pass up the chance to make time for a fan.
I will miss him because he was such a great man. Rest In Peace, Coach.
